Proprietorship firms are very easy to start and have minimum regulatory compliance requirement to establish. Due to no difference identity of the sole proprietorship and owner, there is not a very formal or extensive procedure for its registration.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalraasta.com\/proprietorship-firm-registration\/\"> register a Sole Proprietorship<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, you need to produce certain documents.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Following are the necessary documents:-<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><b>A copy of<\/b><b> PAN card<\/b><b> of the proprietor:-\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The business and the Proprietor are seen as the same. Thus, the proprietor can use their\u00a0<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalraasta.com\/pan-card-registration\/\">PAN card<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0for opening bank accounts, obtaining licenses\/ registrations\/ certificates in the name of the sole proprietorship and filing income tax return for the sole proprietorship.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>A copy of\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"color: #6a6a6a; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: small; background-color: #ffffff;\"><b>Aadhaar\u00a0<\/b><\/span><b>card<\/b><b>\/election I-card:-\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Id proof of the proprietor is mandatory.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Address of office:-<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rented Property: \u00a0a)\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rent agreement and NOC from a landlord. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Self-owned Property: Electricity bill or any other address proof.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><b>Nature of business:-<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><b><\/b><b>Service based business:-\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Business providing services to consumers online or offline. Such businesses need the following two documents to open a current account:-<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalraasta.com\/service-tax-return-filing\/\">Service tax <\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">certification.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chartered Accountant Certification regarding nature of business. (Required by some private banks)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b><\/b><b>Product manufacturing\/ Sales business:-\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Businesses selling products to consumers online or offline. Businesses selling VAT applicable products fall in this category.
