In today\u2019s competing world numerous ideas are generated every second but only a few turn out to be something big. These few ideas need protection against being stolen, every idea needs certain planning and in order to protect it from being stolen one should try patenting it. But not every idea is to be patented because the same might have already been patented, therefore a thorough research should be conducted before filing for a patent. One should not rush into things and should keep these three basic ideas in mind before filing a patent<\/a><\/strong> that actually has value, which are:<\/p>\n

  1. New<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The idea or invention should be such that it should not have been heard anywhere within or outside of a country, it should be an entirely new concept, people should be unaware about the same. The idea should not be claimed before in any specification in India, it is one of the most important factors that should be considered before patenting any product or service.<\/p>\n

    1. Inventive<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The idea should be such that it should have features of an invention it may be an upgraded module of an existing technology but it should be such that it turns out to be a whole new concept or it may have an economic significance or both. It may also make the invention not obvious to an existing skillful person in that field, only then a person should file a patent<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

      1. Industrial Application<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The industrial application here simply means that the invention should be such that it finds use in an existing firm or an upcoming one it should have useful application towards maximizing profits and increasing efficiency of an industry. It is very important to first analyze the need of an industry and at the same time to develop a product which finds its way in order to fit into the industry.<\/p>\n
