&#8216;<strong>Nemmadi Project<\/strong>&#8216; of 2006 is an initiative\u00a0 for\u00a0Karnataka natives. The\u00a0 Nemmadi project was initiated by the e-Governance department via the PPP Mode (Private-Public Partnership) via 802 Tele-Centres across the state.\u00a0 The government decided to take over the project as a result of lack of control over the private players involved in the project. The responsibility of the project was in turn, handed over to the revenue department of Karnataka. The government envisions that through this initiative that all revenue services, as well as, citizen services would be accessible to the common people by the establishment\u00a0of exclusive service centers at the Hobli level by making the procedures transparent, reliable, as well as, affordable. Citizens had to give in written applications along with supporting documents for services they wished to access at a Taluk office. These applications and documents then had to be processed manually and had to be sent to the field officers for verification. The report was then processed and the manual certificate had to be issued by the Tahasildar at the Taluk office. The painstaking manual procedure meant that a citizen had to make two visits at the very least to the office in order to get a certificate which proved to be inefficient.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Apart from the online portal, the established Nadakacheri centers have been put up with an aim to provide electronic delivery of citizen services (<strong>caste certificate, income certificate,\u00a0 land documents, birth and death certificates, agriculture documents, and\u00a0Social Security pensions<\/strong>) in rural areas. In accordance, with the same 769 hobli level centers all across Karnataka as of 25.12.2012. The Deputy Commissioner of the districts will be in charge of the project (Kendras) at the District level. At the state level, the Atalji Janasnehi Directorate has been established in the Revenue Department. In addition to this,\u00a0<label for=\"About_Para2\">the Commissioner Survey Settlement and Land Records are also designated as Director of the Project. It also serves to get a reservation in college and many government institutions. You must have a caste certificate which confirms that a person is from a particular community, caste, and religion. You may receive benefits from schemes of central or state government. Another reason to use Nadakacheriportal is it offers software and many other services like Agriculturist Certificate, Crop Certificate, OBC Certificate (Central), Living Certificate, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nadakacheri_Software\"><\/span>Nadakacheri Software<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Nakacheri web-based application has been developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC).\u00a0 The application is hosted in a state data center and is operational via a centralized architecture. With this software, there is no concept of a separate front office, back office, local server, or any form of data replication. The software is maintained at SDC and modifications can be deployed very easily within a time-span of 2-3 hours. The Nemmadi Software developed by NIC has a client-server architecture. The software did produce major data loss issues in data replication.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nadakacheri_Services\"><\/span>Nadakacheri Services<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Nadakacheri Online Portal delivers a Grand Total of 40 Citizen Services to the members of the\u00a0 State of Karnataka.
