In India, the citizens who are enjoying pension must submit a certificate called <strong>Life certificate<\/strong> every year to the concern Pension Disbursing Authorities (PDAs). Through this process,\u00a0the Pensioner can continue to receive their pension.\u00a0This facility is available not only for retired employees of Central Government but also for State Government and other government institutions. Jeevan Pramaan is basically a biometric-enabled Aadhaar-based Digital Life Certificate. It is mandatory to be generated such\u00a0Digital Life Certificate for every pensioner using his\/her Aadhaar number as well as biometrics to streamline pension disbursement.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Important note:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Life certificate: <\/strong><\/span>It is also known as the certificate of existence which is generally a document signed by a responsible person to assure that pensioner is still alive to receive the pension. The pension disbursing agencies and the government need to check periodically that pensioner has not died in order to avoid overpaying annuities and pensions.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_Jeevan_Pramaan\"><\/span><strong>What is Jeevan Pramaan?\u00a0<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The scheme of Jeevan Pramaan or\u00a0Digital Life certificate was launched by Honorable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi on 10th Nov 2014. In India, usually, all the pensioners are required to submit a Life certificate to Pension Disbursing Authority in November month of every year. Moreover, in some of the cases, the pensioner him or herself need to be present personally for receiving the pension.<\/p>\n<p>The offline procedure of creating life certificate includes a physical presence that has caused\u00a0huge hardship, particularly to the aged pensioners. Now, Jeevan Pramaan is eliminating such hardships by digitizing the whole procedure. The scheme of Jeevan Pramaan enables the pensioner to generate a digital life certificate using a software application as well as secure Aadhaar based Biometric Authentication System. The generated Digital Life Certificate will be stored online in\u00a0 Jeevan Pramaan website. All you need to complete the two basic steps, such as User Registration &amp; Certificate Authentication to get Digital Life Certificate.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%99%A6_How_to_do_%E2%80%9CUser_Registration%E2%80%9D\"><\/span><strong>\u2666 How to do &#8220;User Registration&#8221;?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>First of all, authenticate the biometric device with PC\/mobile\/tab. (biometric registration is a onetime process)<\/li>\n<li>Enter your Aadhaar Number and a mobile number and click on Generate OTP.<\/li>\n<li>Then, you will receive an OTP to the registered mobile number.<\/li>\n<li>Once the correct OTP will be entered, the next screen will be displayed. Then, enter your Name &amp; Email ID and click on scan Finger.<\/li>\n<li>Now, scan your fingerprint on fingerprint scanner or scan eye on Iris scanner connected to PC\/Mobile\/Tab.<\/li>\n<li>At last, you will get a message in the pop-up window as &#8220;Device registration successful&#8221;. Just click on &#8220;OK&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%99%A6_How_to_do_%E2%80%9CCertificate_Generation%E2%80%9D\"><\/span><strong>\u2666 How to do &#8220;Certificate Generation&#8221;?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Enter Applicant\u2019s Adhaar number and mobile number on this screen. Then, click on Generate OTP.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant will receive an OTP in his\/her mobile. Provide the same in space given and click &#8220;OK&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Following are the information that an applicant needs to enter in the next screen:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2013 Pensioner Name<\/p>\n<p>\u2013PPO Number<\/p>\n<p>\u2013Type of pension<\/p>\n<p>\u2013Name of Sanctioning Authority<\/p>\n<p>\u2013Name of Disbursing Agency<\/p>\n<p>\u2013Name of Agency<\/p>\n<p>\u2013Email Id<\/p>\n<p>\u2013Select Remarried options<\/p>\n<p>\u2013Select Re-Employed Options<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Choose the &#8220;No objection&#8221; option and move to scan a finger.<\/li>\n<li>As soon a the Fingerprint\/Iris Authentication is successful, the life certificate of the pensioner (applicant) will be displayed. An acknowledgment SMS will be sent to the pensioner with Jeevan Pramaan Certificate ID in his\/her mobile number.<\/li>\n<li>Now, click on &#8220;Print&#8221; to get Digital service centers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%99%A6_How_to_download_Jeevan_Pramaan\"><\/span><strong>\u2666 How to download Jeevan Pramaan?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Anytime and anywhere, the PDAs can access and view the Jeevan Pramaan of a pensioner in the Jeevan Pramaan website.
