The main example of such newspapers is Times of India and Hindustan Times that comes under the top 10 newspapers. The reason why these newspapers are ahead is the literacy rate. Apart from this, the coverage of content is credible and excellent. But for reaching to that level, one has to start up with the RNI\u00a0registration at the initial point. It is mandatory for the owner to obtain a registration first from the Registrar of the Newspapers. Following are the picture that portrays the documents:<\/p>\n<p><strong>For registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Title Verification Letter.<\/li>\n<li>District Magistrate\/Additional District Magistrate etc must authenticate the declaration.<\/li>\n<li>For No Foreign Tie-up, affidavit should be duly signed by Publisher and Notarized<\/li>\n<li>A Copy of the first issue of the newspaper publication brought.<\/li>\n<li>Printer Agreement along with the copy of the printing press.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p><strong>For KYC<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalraasta.com\/blog\/certificate-incorporation-private-limited-company\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Incorporation Certificate<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalraasta.com\/memorandum-of-association-moa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MoA<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalraasta.com\/article-of-association\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AoA<\/a> of the Company<\/li>\n<li>In the case of Proprietorship- the certificate of registration is required issued under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalraasta.com\/shop-establishment-license\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shops and Establishment Act<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalraasta.com\/blog\/partnership-deed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Partnership deed<\/a> in the case of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalraasta.com\/partnership-firm-registration-india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Partnership Firm<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Copy of PAN Card<\/li>\n<li>Details of Promoters\/Directors\/Partners<\/li>\n<li>In the case of Company, a copy of Board resolution<\/li>\n<li>ID and Address proof of Partners\/Directors\/Proprietor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Post registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"service-docs-item\">\n<div class=\"service-docs-item__content\">\n<ul>\n<li>On February last, the first issue should contain the duly filled Form No. IV which is a statement regarding ownership and other details of the newspaper.<\/li>\n<li>The second mandatory compliance is related to the annual statement in form II- on or before the last day of May every year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fresh Filing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Change of publisher<\/li>\n<li>Printer<\/li>\n<li>Owners<\/li>\n<li>Periodicity<\/li>\n<li>Printing press<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Procedure_for_RNI_registration\"><\/span><em><strong>Procedure for <\/strong><\/em>RNI<em><strong> registration<\/strong><\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Following are the steps for the registration:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>STEP 1.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The first and foremost step to propose\u00a0the name of the newspaper that will be further verified by the\u00a0<strong>Registrar of Newspaper for India<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Afterward, an application is required to be made for title verification that will contain:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Name of the newspaper<\/li>\n<li>Name of the owner<\/li>\n<li>Circulation language<\/li>\n<li>Periodicity<\/li>\n<li>The proposed area of newspaper publication<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>STEP 2.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>All this information must be submitted to the concerned District Magistrate.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>STEP 3.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You can also file an online application for title verification with the RNI.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>STEP 4.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Now, first of all, the District Magistrate verifies the credentials of the applicant and then forward the application to the RNI for checking the availability.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>STEP 5.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Thereafter, RNI issues a letter of title verification\u00a0to notify the District Magistrate and publisher about the availability of the title.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>STEP 6.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Besides, a declaration is required to be filed by the publisher with the District Magistrate to start publishing the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>This RNI registration form or application can be submitted to the RNI \u2013 along with the following:<\/p>\n<section class=\"service-advantages\">\n<div class=\"service-advantages__container\">\n<div class=\"service-docs-item__content\">\n<ol>\n<li>An attested copy of title verification<\/li>\n<li>Copy of the declaration<\/li>\n<li>The first issue of the newspaper<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;No Foreign Tie-up&#8217; affidavit must be duly attested by a Notary<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Within 45 days from the date of the authentication of the declaration, the first issue of the newspaper should be brought in case periodicity is daily or weekly.
