This is also something that has been demonstrated to be critical to the proper operation of organisations. Independence is defined as &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ability to maintain one&#8217;s composure in the face of negative forces.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to make unequivocal, solid conclusions on any issue<\/li>\n<li>The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and do the right thing for the firm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It permits the person to operate with integrity and make decisions and develop judgments bearing in mind the best interests of the stakeholders.
