Cosmetic License Registration

In the current scenario, the cosmetic business is not only blooming in India but also expected to triple in the next 5 years. Businesses who are dealing with the herbal cosmetics will also continue to drive the growth of the beauty industry in 2018. The awareness of cosmetic products and treatment is at all time high in India. Establishing a cosmetic products business can be so profitable to you. So, the cosmetic license is one of the needs.

Cosmetic products are those intended to be rubbed, poured, sprinkled, sprayed on, or otherwise applied to the human body or any part of it for the purpose of cleansing, beautifying, altering appearance, or enhancing attractiveness. This also includes any article intended for use as a component of a cosmetic. In India, cosmetic products are regulated by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO). Since 1 April 2013, it has become mandatory for all imported cosmetics intended for sale to be registered with the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI). As part of this process, importers must obtain a valid cosmetic license certificate, which serves as official approval for their products to enter the Indian market. Previously, there was no such requirement in place.

Customers are now more interested than ever in knowing the ingredients in the products they use, making informed choices before buying. Therefore, if you're planning to start a new cosmetic business involving the manufacturing, distribution, or sale of products, it's essential to obtain a Cosmetic License through CDSCO Registration. Once approved, all registered cosmetic products must carry a special label displaying the registration certificate number. This certificate remains valid for three years from the date of issue.

So, if you are seeking the trustworthy who can help you to complete the procedure of registration and lessen your burden then here at LegalRaasta you are in the right hands. Our experts’ team will provide you time to time guidelines from beginning till the end.
